Big Timer

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Big Timer, operated by TheChristianKing.com (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Big Timer (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Big Timer lets you create countdown/count-up timers and on-screen messages and broadcast them live to viewer screens you open via a shareable link. The Service is currently provided free of charge. We may add paid plans in the future; any paid features and their terms will be presented to you before you’re charged.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the timer names, messages, and other content you create. You grant us the limited right to store and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you (for example, streaming it to your viewer screens). You’re responsible for what you display. Remember that anyone with your viewer link can see your live timer and messages.

5. Availability & “as is”

Big Timer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment. It depends on your internet connection, your browser/device, and third-party providers (such as Google Firebase), which can fail or change.

Do not rely on Big Timer as your only timing method for a critical live event. For important productions, keep a backup timing method. You are responsible for testing the Service before your event.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any disruption to a live event. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to USD $50 (or, if you are on a paid plan, the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim). Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

7. Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete my account in the dashboard). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to it or others. We may also discontinue the Service, in which case we’ll make reasonable efforts to give notice.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
